Normal training programs from a book or from the internet just weren't flexible enough to meet my training needs. I met Coach Kelly and Coach Rob at the fitness expo during the 2006 Chicago Marathon. I was new to the sport of running at the time, and knew nothing about triathlon. Both Kelly and Rob took the time to talk to me, explain their coaching system, and give me valuable information about their website. I signed on with Energy Fitness Coaching at the beginning of 2007, and it was without a doubt the best decision I've ever made as an athlete! The results have been truly amazing! Training with Coach Kelly I have knocked 20 minutes off of my marathon time, and am now training for my first half ironman triathlon.

Being a professional pilot, my life is always on the go. Coach Kelly tailors my training program specific to my needs, and is always there to answer my questions, and provide feedback. Her enthusiasm for coaching, and for the sport are remarkable. Her energetic attitude provides motivation to go longer, and never quit. Without Kelly, and Energy Fitness Coaching I would not have made the fitness gains that I have. I owe all of my success as an athlete to her. I started with Coach Kelly just before the Lake Zurich Triathlon. Her coaching propelled me to 2nd place female overall at the Sprint Distance Race! Coach Kelly then helped me to tackle my first Olympic Distance Triathlon a month later at Lake Geneva where I finished 5th in my age group and 17th overall for females. I obtained amazing results on my swim (24:29) and bike (1:15). The run was a bear! But I still finished the run in 50 minutes, even with the killer hills!

Coach Kel in now preparing me for my 2008 season. She's already providing some neat ideas for the year and has persuaded me to start training with a heart rate monitor. I enjoy the workouts she creates, the use of Spinervals, her own Ultimate Bike Training DVDs and the one on one sessions too! Next up, my first ½ Ironman! I can’t wait! Thanks Coach Kel!

As a busy physician, wife and mother I have no extra time to devote to sorting out what workouts I should be doing to prepare for a triathlon. Kelly does all of this for me and caters the workouts specifically for me and my schedule. I can talk to her personally or email her and she always answers any questions I have. I just started triathlon sport last summer and was able to do a 1/2 ironman after having only completed one Olympic distance triathlon. I could have never done this without Kelly's help! Signing up for her program is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

I have been working with Coach Kelly and EFC for the past 2 years. In 2008 I decided to sign up for Ironman Wisconsin and on September 13, 2009, I crossed the finish line and became and Ironman! Everyday the accomplishment of completing the Ironman sinks in farther. The more I think about it, the greater the accomplishment seems. Slowly my outlook on life is changing. It used to be, "I can't do it, so I'm not even going to try." Then it moved to, "If you don't try, you can't do it." And now it is, "You can do ANYTHING if you commit to it and work hard." I had the opportunity to train with Kelly and Rob for my first-ever triathlon season. As a novice swimmer, I had a lot of anxiety about that portion of the race. After training with Kelly and Rob for several weeks, I gained the basic skills and confidence to swim comfortably for the swim portion of my first sprint-tri. I was 43 years old when I started swim lessons with Kelly and Rob. I did not know how to freestyle and I had signed up for 3 Triathlons. We began with the basics in a 14 yard pool and over about 5 months I ended up swimming in Lake Michigan in a wetsuit! I never thought I would feel so comfortable in the water! By my 3rd triathlon, I was swimming the entire 0.5 mile freestyle! Amazing!

Kelly and Rob are excellent trainers for athletes of all levels. They are patient, positive and pleasant to work with. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I first got to know Kelly during spin classes at our gym. She was always so high energy and encouraged everyone to push themselves during class. One day, I heard her talking to someone about triathlons. I had just signed up to compete in these events for the first time myself and asked her advice on training for them. Kelly showed tremendous patience with me as I learned to swim for cross training to compliment my preparation for the Boston Marathon. She took a very personal interest in teaching me to swim. My schedule is very random with lots of travel and she would always find a way to fit me in.

Kelly's sincere interest and personal attention (like putting my wet suit on) made swimming lessons fun. She didn't laugh when I would swim backwards.

I am a runner who just wants to be the best I can be and injury free. My running coach is an Olympic veteran from Africa and Kelly shows the same level of professionalism and love of sport as he does.

Kelly's favorite class with me was when she pulled me around Lake Michigan teaching me to float. That would normally be embarrassing, especially with 50,000 people on the beach watching us (the only ones in the lake) and the Chicago Air and Water show, but Kelly made it just tons of fun.
