Functional Training Classes

Functional Training Classes are designed to train your neuromuscular system to contract eccentrically, isometric ally and concentrically in all three planes of motion. By increasing your functional efficiency you are training your neuromuscular system to monitor and manipulate movement during functional tasks using the least amount of energy and creating the least amount of stress on the kinetic chain.

If you want to maximize your strength and power while preventing injury, you should begin by finding your physical strengths and limiters. Begin with a functional strength assessment and find out your muscular imbalances, muscular weaknesses and muscularly tight areas. Once you identify your strengths and limiters, you can then focus on a personally designed strength and stretching program to even out the imbalances, strengthen the weak areas and relieve the tightness.

Functional Training Class

Functional Training focuses on training the body to meet the specific demands of sport and life. Unlike traditional, specific strength training (such as a bench press, bicep curl etc.) functional training encompasses multiple planes of motion and strengthens the body in various patterns of movement to mimic real life movements of sport and daily activities.
