Completing a marathon is such an exhilarating accomplishment! Whether you are a first-time marathoner or an advanced and experienced competitor, Energy Fitness Coaching has something for you. EFC coaches use the latest research and training techniques to increase your lactate threshold, Vo2 max, and strength, all while improving your biomechanics. Your goals are assessed, your limiting factors are addressed, and then a plan is created for you to lead you to success in the marathon. Our company is founded by professional athletes and coaches who have various certifications and fitness backgrounds with the common desire to achieve and accomplish goals.
Located in downtown Chicago we are very available to work with you in a personalized one on one session. We offer a variety of plans for local athletes as well as athletes located across the country and overseas!
Personalized Platinum Level Marathon Coaching
$449 per month 3 month minimum, eliminates set up fee Save 5% when you pay for 6 months all at once by check Save 10% when you pay for 12 months all at once by check
The EFC Platinum Level is the most comprehensive coaching program you can choose for ultimate training and racing results. As with all EFC coaching plans, this plan is 100% personalized for each athlete.
As an EFC Platinum Level Athlete you will receive:
* Initial phone consultation o Introduction, Review of program, explanation of service * Athlete Profile Review o At the beginning of the program, athlete will complete an athlete profile questionnaire. Coach will provide analysis and assessment of athlete's training history, fitness/health history, past performance, current and future race goals. * Detailed Phone Conversation o A schedule Athlete Interview of 45 to 60 min will then take place enabling Coach and Athlete to begin forming a true partnership * Training and Race Schedule Review o Coach will assist athlete in selecting a race schedule and creating a complete training program from the Macro View o Coach will review the training log with athlete and make sure athlete understands how to use the tools effectively o Platinum Level Athletes receive a Needs Assessment Plan that will help the athlete Develop Clear Goals and Objectives * Testing and Review o Athlete will be assessed throughout the training plan through Field Tests to establish a firm baseline and to measure improvements o Coach will review lab test completed as well as other outside performance testing when applicable * Heart Rate and Training Zones Analysis o Coach well help athlete work with Heart Rate and Training Zones o Athletes can take advantage of the Polar RS 800™ software for logging and can be tested at the EFC training center on the CompuTrainers™ and Vasa Ergometer™ * Free Membership to EFC for the Duration of the Program to receive discounts and various benefits. All programs are built specifically for you and nothing is computer generated! Plan can be adjusted at last minute if needed. Just call your coach! We are here for you! * Training Plan encompasses all 5 dimensions: 1. Sport Specific Training -detailed in your customized, personal training log 2. Integrated Functional Strength Training -detailed in a Functional Training Log for Endurance Athletes that includes specific exercises and complete instruction for three Total Body workouts, one upper body workout, one lower body workout and two core workouts 3. Lengthening and Strengthening of the Mind and Body -detailed in your training log and in communication with your coach 4. Nutrition -detailed in a Nutrition Worksheet and Log that includes nutrition information for training and racing along with logs for recording and assessing your nutrition for efficient and effective training and racing. Platinum Level Athletes can use this tool as often as desired. 5. Rest and Recovery -detailed in your training log and in communication with your coach * Mental Coaching Sessions * Training Plateaus analysis and review * Weekly phone conversations - Coach Initiated! * Continuous and unlimited athlete/coach communication through emails. Emails are responded to with Platinum Priority Response. That means right away * Race Day Planning and Execution o Race log and phone call to review before your race * Race Day Analysis o Review race log and race day experience with your coach * Regular email broadcasts that contain the latest information and activities in endurance and multisports news to give you the leading edge in information

Personalized Gold Level Marathon Coaching

It's important to keep your coach informed each week of your busy travel, work, and family schedule and provide feedback on mood, sleep and stress level regularly via email and phone. Communication is key to success, so if you are communicating with your coach then together you and your coach will create the right plan for you!
Personalized Silver Level Marathon Coaching

The EFC Silver Level is an expansive coaching program you can choose for significant training and racing results. As with all EFC coaching plans, this plan is 100% personalized for each athlete.
As an EFC Silver Level Athlete you will receive:
* Initial phone consultation o Introduction, Review of program, explanation of service * Athlete Profile Review o At the beginning of the program athlete will complete an athlete profile questionnaire. Coach will obtain an understanding of athlete's training history, fitness/health history, past performance, current and future race goals. * Detailed Phone Conversation o A schedule Athlete Interview of 45 to 60 min will then take place enabling Coach and Athlete to begin forming a true partnership * Training and Race Schedule Review o Coach will assist athlete in selecting a race schedule and creating a complete training program from the Macro View o Coach will review the training log with athlete and make sure athlete understands how to use the tools effectively * Testing and Review o Athlete will be given Field Tests throughout training plan to establish a firm baseline and to measure improvements o Discussion of results is Athlete Initiated o Coach will review outside performance testing completed as well when applicable * Heart Rate Analysis o Coach well help athlete work with Heart Rate and Training Zones. Questions about Heart Rate and Training Zones will be athlete initiated. * Free Membership to EFC for the Duration of the Program to receive discounts and various benefits. It's important to keep your coach informed every two weeks of your busy travel, work, and family schedule and provide feedback on mood, sleep and stress levels regularly in emails. Communication is key to success, so if you are communicating with your coach then together you and your coach will create the right plan for you!
