Marathon Coaching
Completing a marathon is such an exhilarating accomplishment! Whether you are a first-time marathoner or an advanced and experienced competitor, Energy Fitness Coaching has something for you. EFC coaches use the latest research and training techniques to increase your lactate threshold, Vo2 max, and strength, all while improving your biomechanics. Your goals are assessed, your limiting factors are addressed, and then a plan is created for you to lead you to success in the marathon. Our company is founded by professional athletes and coaches who have various certifications and fitness backgrounds with the common desire to achieve and accomplish goals.
Located in downtown Chicago we are very available to work with you in a personalized one on one session. We offer a variety of plans for local athletes as well as athletes located across the country and overseas!
Personalized Gold Level Marathon Coaching
- Initial phone consultation, evaluation, and documentation
- Detailed Weekly Training Log received once a week encompassing Running, Cross Training, Stretching, Pilates, Yoga as well as Feedback on your Mood, Rate of Perceived Exertion, Sleep and Stress
- In addition to a regular training log (which outlines your whole year based on Periodization Training) you will also receive a Functional Training Worksheet and Nutrition Worksheet and Log to complete your total training regimen
- Functional Training includes Total Body, Upper Body, Lower Body, Sports Core and Core Conditioning all based on Periodization Training
- Nutrition information helps you understand Nutrition Periodization, Glycemic Index as well as eating patterns
- Your EFC coach is available via email and phone anytime you have a question. We are always happy to help!
- EFC coaches provide motivation, encouragement, direction and organization so all you have to do is follow the plan

- EFC coaches will respond right away in most cases, but we will be back with you within 24 hours guaranteed!
- 3 month minimum is required
With Gold Level Coaching you and your coach are in a true partnership with weekly discussions. You can call anytime with questions, concerns and feedback. Your training is updated weekly and adjusted as needed. And as always, your coach is always available by email!
Personalized Silver Level Marathon Coaching

- Detailed Weekly Training Log received once a training block encompassing Running, Cross Training, Stretching, Pilates, Yoga as well as Feedback on your Mood, Rate of Perceived Exertion, Sleep and Stress

With Silver Level Coaching you and your coach work together to customize the plan that is right for you. With a phone call each training block, you will be set up with 4 weeks at a time. Your coach is always available on email!
